Who is the Trike Bike VITA designed for?

It is designed for adults seeking three-wheel stability, a supportive semi-recumbent seating position, low step-through access and smooth electric assistance for recreation, mobility, shopping and everyday riding.

What rider height is recommended?

The VITA is generally suited to riders approximately 155–190 cm tall. Rider height alone does not guarantee correct fit, so pedal reach, steering reach, flexibility and the rider’s ability to enter and leave the tricycle should also be considered.

What motor does the VITA use?

It uses a 48V transmission hub motor providing 250W of continuous assistance and approximately 40 Nm of listed torque.

What battery does it use?

The VITA uses a removable 48V 20Ah lithium-ion battery providing 960Wh of stored energy. The battery uses Samsung 21700 cells and is listed to UL 2271.

How much weight can it carry?

The maximum rider weight is 150 kg. The rear rack and basket can carry up to 20 kg, with a maximum combined rider-and-cargo load of 170 kg.

What does the differential do?

The rear differential allows the rear wheels to rotate at different speeds while turning. This supports smoother cornering and helps reduce tyre scrub.

Does the VITA have suspension?

Yes. It is fitted with a single hydraulic rear suspension unit to improve comfort and reduce vibration over uneven surfaces.

Can the VITA tow a trailer?

It has a listed towing capacity of up to 50 kg when used with a suitable correctly fitted trailer. Trailer weight, cargo distribution, terrain and operating conditions must all be considered.

Does a tricycle ride like a normal bicycle?

No. It does not need balancing when stationary, but steering and cornering feel different. Practise progressively in a quiet, open area before riding near traffic, pedestrians or obstacles.
