A day out with Porsha on the Tag A Long

Porsha and her Poppy are both avid cyclists, and they had been eagerly waiting for the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to open. Finally, the day had arrived, and they were up before the sun, getting ready for their big ride.

As they cycled down the trail, Porsha couldn't stop giggling with excitement. She loved spending time with her Poppy, and she was thrilled to be exploring this new trail with him. They talked about everything and anything as they rode, over bridges, into tunnels and passed everyone because they were riding an electric Sobowo FAT Trike Bike.

Reaching the end of the trail, they turned back and it was time for a second breakfast. They stopped at the Moo Moo Cafe and Roadhouse for a well-deserved breakfast. The scrambled eggs were delicious, and they both enjoyed taking a break from their bikes and talk about eggs and raisin toast.

After eating the light showers had cleared and they headed back towards the start of the trail at Murrwillumbah, passing through the tunnels once again. This time, they stopped to take a closer look at the micro bats, which were still hanging around (get it) despite the crowds of people on the trail.

Porsha was amazed by the bats, and she bombarded her Poppy with questions about them. He patiently answered each one, and she listened intently, fascinated by the world around her.

As they approached the end of the trail, Porsha felt a sense of sadness wash over her. She didn't want the day to end. She had had so much fun with her Poppy, and she didn't want it to be over.

But as they loaded their bikes back into the car and headed home, Porsha knew that she would always treasure this day. She had shared a special experience with her Poppy, and she knew that she would remember it for years to come. The early start and 52 kms of riding meant a knap was well overdue on the drive home and for the first time in years she dozed off on the car ride home.... probably thinking and dreaming about those bats !
